Doctoral Project: Make Your Choices Better Than Chance: Validating a Four-Factor Model
Carmen is a Psy.D. student in the Department of Psychology at Loma Linda University. As an associate lab member of Dr. Van Dyk's Pediatric Health Behavior Lab (PHBL), She is particularly interested in exploring how an individual's worldview, shaped by factors studied in psychology, philosophy, anthropology, and other disciplines, influences their health behaviors and outcomes. Carmen collaborates with Dr. Boyd and a multidisciplinary team, using factor analysis to develop a framework for assessing worldviews.
Carmen plans to investigate the role of worldviews and cultural beliefs in shaping health behaviors, such as sleep, to inform the development of culturally sensitive interventions promoting well-being in diverse youth populations.
