Olivia (Liv) is currently a clinical psychology PhD student at Loma Linda University’s School of Behavioural Health. She is originally from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and graduated with a B.S. in biology, and a minor in organization and performance psychology from The Ohio State University.
Liv is interested in modifiable health behaviours, such as diet, exercise, sleep, screen time, that lead to the onset of physical chronic diseases, namely Type 2 Diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. She is interested in studying these lifestyle behaviours among child and adolescent populations especially those at risk for these diseases. Liv’s dissertation is examining the mediating effects of diet, physical activity, and screen time on obesity among a group of adolescents who suffer from insufficient sleep.
