Nuria is currently a clinical psychology PsyD student at Loma Linda University’s School of Behavioral Health. She is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she attended Macalester College and graduated with a B.S. in psychology and a minor in political science.
Nuria is interested in pediatric chronic pain and interdisciplinary approaches to pediatric medicine. She is interested in investigating physical health symptoms (i.e. sleep, physical exercise) associated with chronic pain, both in terms of risk factors and protective factors. She has plans to do her doctoral project on pediatric pain. Nuria also has experience working with young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and is involved in Dr. Neece’s lab. She hopes to collaborate between the two labs to conduct research on pediatric pain in children with ASD.
